Very ripe and intense black fruits – plum and blackberry with vanillin overtones on the nose. Dry, soft, ripe and fleshy tannins are well supported by rich black fruits and liquorice.
A full-bodied wine with generosity and warmth - long and persistent finish. This wine has the ability to age for 10 + years and is suited to a range of slow cooked meat dishes and/or a cheese board with cloth bound, farmhouse cheeses!
“Even-tempered wine though it doesn't leave anyone short-changed. Black cherry and blackberry with modest input from dry leaves and spice. Chocolatey oak too plays a minor role. In short, it does the simple things well: flavour, length, balance, structure. All it needs is a couple of years to find its feet.” - Halliday Wine Companion 2018
